Valentines Menu 2012

A pear poached in wine and spices decorated with a blueberry pomegranate necklace in a melon love boat with pomegranate molasses sauce

Asparagus  and red pepper tart with fig relish

A creamy delicate butter pastry tart served with a honeyed fig and orange relish. This is also a main course option when a larger portion of the tart will be served with minted potatoes and feta cubes

MAIN COURSES

Oyster mushroom risotto

Oven sealed Arborio rice baked with organic white wine with garlic, rosemary and thyme, finished on the stove with butter, parmesan style cheese, lemon, oyster mushrooms , microherbs and roasted hazels (opt)

Two Hearts Beet (as one)

An open layered ravioli with beetroot, goat’s cheese, spinach and caramelised onion, beetroot kisses, and an apple and cider reduction

A Thali platter to share or to feast on alone includingKate’s famous homemade pistachio paneer, cucumber and mint raita, tomato chutney, spinach potato and pea curry, dhal and roti or rice

Fond of you chocolate fondue

Fresh glazed strawberries, pineapple, cherries and other exotic fruits marinated in rosewater to dip into warm chocolate and share with your partner or all by yourself
